Hawai‘i REALTORS® has named Tricia Nekota the 2024 Hawai‘i REALTOR® of the Year. Congratulations, Tricia! The award, which recognizes an outstanding REALTOR® in Hawai‘i for their work in the interest of fellow REALTORS®, the profession, and the community, was announced on October 11 at the Hawai‘i REALTORS® virtual Trending Up event. “Tricia has the highest commitment to ethical standards and professionalism,” said Julie Meier, president of Hawai‘i REALTORS®. “She is incredibly generous, giving of her time and resources for the betterment of our community, and her service to her clients is exemplary. We are fortunate she is part of our organization." Tricia, principal broker of Dream Home Realty Hawai‘i, was born and raised in Hawai‘i and graduated from Mililani High School and Chaminade University. She started her career as an elementary school teacher before becoming a stay-at-home mom to raise her two boys. She became a licensed REALTOR® in 2007 and earned her Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation in 2010. In 2021, she established her company, Dream Home Realty Hawai‘i. Tricia is currently serving her second year as national Residential Real Estate Council president, served two consecutive years as the Hawaii Residential Real Estate Council State President in 2016 and 2017, and was the 2020 Honolulu Board of REALTORS® president. She has also served on various National Association of REALTORS’® committees and numerous state and local boards and committees. In 2019, Tricia received the Wendell M. Y. Wong Hawaii CRS of the Year award for her outstanding contributions to the real estate industry and was recognized by Honolulu Board of REALTORS’® Aloha ‘Āina REALTOR® Awards Program™ for excellence in the profession and exceptional client service in 2017. In addition to CRS, Tricia's professional designations include Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR®), Certified Real Estate Broker Manager (CRB), Senior Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®), a Military Relocation Professional (MRP), Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA), and Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE). She is certified in Real Estate Investing (REI), At Home With Diversity® (AHWD), and as a Broker Price Opinion Resource (BPOR).
