Our committees are the heart of our association, helping to shape the direction of Hawai'i REALTORS® and its policies and drive the work that provides our member benefits and services. Hawai'i REALTORS® relies on members statewide to inform its actions through committees and working groups. Serving on a committee is a great way to connect with REALTORS® across the state, share your expertise and make a positive impact on your profession and your state association.

Acts on behalf of the Board of Directors and oversees all material aspects of the organization's financial reporting, internal control, and audit functions. The Committee, when necessary, coordinates with other board committees and maintains a strong, positive working relationship with management, external auditors, finance staff, counsel and other committee advisors.

The Board of Directors is the governing body of the Hawai‘i Association of REALTORS®. The Board is responsible to its membership for setting policy; adoption and implementation of the strategic plan and budget; and assuring the legal, ethical and fiscal integrity of the organization.
To protect, promote, and advance the public policy interest and objectives of REALTORS® through legislative and regulatory advocacy and activities. The GAC term is from June to July of the following year, which coincides with the Hawai‘i State Legislature that operates from January to May, plus the Governor’s veto deadline timeframe.

Broaden and enhance the leadership skills and capabilities of a blend of real estate professionals to prepare them to assume leadership roles within the industry and community. Present a program that will develop potential proactive leaders for the Local Boards/Associations and the state association. The Trustees create, implement and develop the Academy program, including course content covering state and local issues.
Recruit, interview and recommend qualified individuals to serve the HAWAI‘I ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® in the capacity of First Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Executive Committee Liaison to Committees and Executive Committee Liaison to Special Projects.

The RPAC Board of Trustees shall have complete and exclusive supervision and control over the affairs and funds of RPAC and shall establish and carry out all policies and activities of RPAC. The Board of Trustees may, from time to time, adopt policies and procedures or amend existing policies and procedures to govern RPAC’s fundraising efforts in conformance with all applicable laws, the making of contributions and other expenditures in furtherance of its purposes, and the duties and responsibilities of members of the Board of Trustees.
