Member Dues and Value

Hawai'i REALTORS® membership provides exceptional value through access to standard forms, legal support, advocacy, and resources that support your real estate business.

2025 and 2026 State Dues

The HAWAI'I ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® dues are $249 per member for 2025 and 2026. This amount is billed to all active REALTOR® AND REALTOR-ASSOCIATE® members through their primary local association in Hawai'i and is due and owing to HAR by January 1.

Brokers are also assessed HAR dues times the number of non-member salespersons, if any, in their office. State dues are pro-rated monthly for new members based on their join date. This pro-ration only applies in the calendar year the member joins HAR. Thereafter, full year dues are due and owing by January 1.

Per HAR Policy Statement 20.0005, HAR will waiver their membership dues for REALTORS® and REALTOR-ASSOCIATES® who are active duty military and are deployed.

Nondeductible Dues

Compliance with the Tax Reform Act of 1993 requires that the portion of dues attributable to lobbying and political activities at the State and Federal levels of government be considered nondeductible for income tax purposes. This nondeductible portion must be disclosed to members on their dues invoice each year.

For 2025

With dues at $249 per member, HAR estimates that 21% or $52.29 to be nondeductible for member's income tax purposes due to HAR lobbying efforts.

For 2026

With dues at $249 per member, HAR estimates that 22% or $54.78 to be nondeductible for member's income tax purposes due to HAR lobbying efforts.

For members whose state dues are pro-rated based on their join date in the calendar year, the percent should be applied to the prorated amount.

Standard Forms

Hawai'i REALTORS® pays for each of our members to have access to our standard forms on zipForm®'s transaction management platform. That's a big savings for members. zipForm® charges individual users $10-$15 per month ($120-$180 per year) to use its transaction management platform and e-signature software.

That doesn't include the cost to access HAR's standard forms. We haven't set a price yet for licensing our standard forms to non-members, but a larger state association charges $125 per month ($1,500 per year). Even if you were to discount that amount by 50% to reflect our smaller standard forms library, a reasonable licensing fee for a non-member to access our forms for a year would be $750.

Every Hawaii REALTORS® member who is a principal broker or broker-in-charge has free access to the Legal Kokua Line for legal guidance.
