Congratulations to Kalama Kim, our 2026 REALTOR® of the Year! The REALTOR® of the Year award is the most prestigious award given by Hawai‘i REALTORS® to recognize a member for their achievements within their local board, community, and state association, and the National Association of REALTORS®.
Kalama has over two decades of real estate experience, currently serving as President and Partner of Hawai‘i Modern Realty. He previously served as President of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hawai‘i Realty and as a Principal Broker and District Manager at Coldwell Banker Realty.
Kalama is a longtime leader in local and national real estate trade associations, serving as a Director-at-Large with the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), Hawai‘i REALTORS® and Honolulu Board of REALTORS®. He was the 2023 President of Hawai‘i REALTORS® and the 2016 President of the Honolulu Board of REALTORS®.
Raised on O‘ahu and a graduate of Kamehameha Schools, Kalama earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in finance from the University of San Francisco. He spent a decade in retail banking at Bank of America and City Bank, where he oversaw branch sales and operations throughout Hawai‘i.
