Join Insurance Commissioner Scott Saiki for an overview of Hawai‘i’s insurance landscape, focusing on real property insurance for residential and commercial properties, including high-rises and single-family homes. He will also discuss key insurance issues impacting Hawai‘i’s real estate professionals and communities.

Dr. Ai will discuss the current state and challenges facing the property insurance market, with a focus on the State of Hawaii. A comparison with other U.S. and international markets will also be provided. Implications for the housing markets will be discussed.

Note: A brief HIREC Annual Business meeting will be conducted to ratify the elections of the 2027 Officers and approval of budget.
