Requirements

The following requirements must be met in order for you to receive Emeritus Status with Hawai‘i REALTORS®.

▪ A REALTOR® Member who has held membership in HAWAI‘I REALTORS® as a REALTOR®, REALTOR-ASSOCIATE®, or both, for a cumulative period of forty (40) years.

▪ Beginning with applications filed as of January 1, 2020, in addition to the forty (40) years of membership, a REALTOR® Emeritus candidate member must also have completed at least two (2) years of service at HAWAI‘I REALTORS® level as an officer, director, committee member or federal political coordinator, shall be upon certification by the Board of Directors designated “REALTOR® EMERITUS.” The requirement of two (2) years of service shall be effective for persons qualifying for REALTOR® EMERITUS.

To apply for Emeritus Status with Hawai‘i REALTORS®, fill out the following application and submit it. It will be reviewed and processed within the relevant submission cycle by approval from the Board of Directors (BOD):

March 31
June 30
September 30
December 31

*The dues waiver does not take effect until the dues years immediately following the BOD’s approval.
