Ovie Carroll has over 34-years law enforcement experience and is currently the Director for the Department of Justice, Cybercrime Lab at the Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section (CCIPS). The Cybercrime lab provides advanced digital investigative analysis, cybercrime investigative and other technical support to DOJ prosecutors as it applies to implementing the Department’s national strategies in digital evidence, combating electronic penetrations, data thefts, and cyber attacks on critical information systems. In his role there he was awarded the 2017 Presidential Rank Award of Meritorious Senior Professional award for sustained superior accomplishments. Carroll is also a course author and Principle Instructor with the SANS Institute where he teaches advanced computer forensics and was an adjunct professor with George Washington University for the Master of Forensic Science program.
